SmartClick is the future of tool-free, permanent fittings for PE-RT and PEX tube, installing up to 35% faster than any other fitting system available today. You create a permanent connection when you hear, feel, and see the “click.”
Constructed from a highly resilient PPSU polymer, SmartClick fittings will last the life of your water system. To install a fitting, all you need is a straight-blade tube cutter to ensure the end is square. Then, push the fitting onto the tube until it clicks. The insert barbs feature two EPDM O-rings per side, ensuring a secure and permanent seal when paired with the spring steel clamp.
Cut the PE-RT or PEX tube straight and even, creating a square cut. With SmartClick you no longer need to measure and make a mark on the tube for insertion depth. Use the Square Buddy® to check if your tube cut is straight.
Insert the tube into the SmartClick connector and press the two together until you hear a “click.” This means that the retention wedge holding open the spring steel clamp has been displaced, and the clamp has snapped closed.
The sight glass on the side of the SmartClick connector allows you to see that the wedge has been displaced, and the clamp activated. The spring steel clamp seals the tube onto the insert barbs, with two EPDM O-rings that create a permanent watertight, seal.
The spring steel clamp maintains a constant force and permanent seal, even as the ambient temperature and pressure change over time.
